• You should learn and use the basic strategy. The Basic strategy of Blackjack is a mathematical strategy of the game, thus leaving no place for superstitions and guesses.
• Choose the best table for you. Look around the casino. We are looking for a calm table, with no drunk or slow neighbors. Good-spirited dealer is also a plus.
• Take Insurance ONLY if you are card-counting. Most of the time, the Insurance bet is a losing one. Insurance might be good only for experienced card-counters.
• Manage your bankroll. Choose a table with a bet sized not more than 1/20 of your general bankroll, this will reduce the risk of losing all your money. Also you should set a betting limit to stop playing once you've reached it not to lose too much.
• Dealer should be tipped. Regardless on what you think about tipping, if you want to have a nice dealer that would not only be friendly, but shuffle the cards a bit more rare than usual.
